As part of Iowa’s urban sanctuary initiative, FeatherStone at Hickory Hill donated nearly 40 acres containing prairie grass preserves, walking trails, picnic shelters, and more to Hickory Hill Park, with acreage now totaling 220 acres.

Franciscan Ministries currently owns or operates communities throughout Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York and Maryland. Franciscan Ministries is a mission-driven, nonprofit Catholic senior living organization offering independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, memory care and community-based services. In addition, Franciscan Ministries provides third-party management services through Franciscan Advisory Services. The Ministry also supports young, at-risk women seeking a Catholic secondary education and operates a family violence prevention center and shelter.
